A sandy wonderland, Sandbanks Provincial Park is filled with sand dunes, crystal clear waters and long sandy beaches. Observe the fascinating dune plants such as bluets and butterfly weed. Park staff offer interpretive walks, children’s programs and campfires during the summer months.
The caring home of over 150 animals (35 species), Bergeron's is open to the public from March break until October 31st. Siberian tigers, wild boars and wolves are just some of the many creatures dwelling at the sanctuary.
Sand castle builders and sunbathers will rejoice on North Beach's three km of natural sand beach. The water is shallow near the shore, but does have a steep drop off that is only recommended for strong swimmers. The park is open seasonally for day use. There is a boat launch.
Located 61 m (200 ft) about the Bay of Quinte, this location has been the subject of Aboriginal myth and science, as it is unknown where the endless supply of fresh water comes from. A majestic view of the bay and a lovely day use area make it a superb day trip destination.
Once a thriving area in the 1800s due to the "barley days," this conservation spot features a few short walking trails. Located along Country Road 10.
